Inspiration
Inspiration is a matter of finding something we like.

At My Drum School (“MDS”), we believe that the heartbeat of drumming begins with inspiration. Our programmes are created with creativity, innovation, originality, improvisation and extemporaneous drumming.

Going beyond textbook education, MDS uses today’s technology like recording, Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI), minus-one tracks, DVDs, sequences, drum machines, transcriptions, music CDs and online materials to facilitate learning.

Our students are educated with a carefully structured curriculum, which is designed to inspire and motivate, sustaining their interest in the craft.

Education
There is a lack of emphasis on drum education and learning in Singapore.

Our founder, James Pang, recognizes the fundamental importance of drums in contemporary music. We pride ourselves in being the first music school in Singapore to specialize in drumming.
