Red Cross Society (Annual Camp 2007)
26 December, 2007 @ Tanjong Katong Secondary School
With just him, his sticks and a drum set, James Pang delivered drumming to Tanjong Katong Secondary School’s (TKSS) Red Cross Society at their annual camp 2007.
Through impressive chops and funky grooves, James inspired the youths that drumming is not difficult to master. After an hour of teaching basic notations, the students were ready to showcase their talents as they performed “STOMP” items in groups using percussion instruments. Banging on chairs, hitting objects, and simply creating noise brought laughter and fun to the Red Cross students that afternoon.
The session ended with a massive 8-minute Drum Solo demonstrated by the founder of My Drum School! Click here to preview a snippet of the performance. We would like to express our thanks to TKSS for inviting us to teach and inspire the Red Cross Society.
"Awesome and inspiring! " |

MDS had the privilege to perform in this playground for the rich and famous, boaters and non-boaters alike. One°15 Marina Club is nestled in the exclusive Sentosa Cove development.
Pat’s Schoolhouse hosted the spectacular event as adults and children participated in a fun-filled afternoon of games, food, drumming, dancing, performances, face painting, and tap dancing. In Finding Christmas, James Pang marked the special event by facilitating the guests in drumming to the tune of “Feliz Navidad” - with djembes, bongos, and other hand drums.
Thank you One Degree 15 for the kind invitation!
We had a great Christmas 2007. |

Funkey Monkey Musical
9th December, 2007 @ Raffles Hotel (Jubilee Hall)
Singing, moving, dancing, playing, drumming, creating music... all night long!
Adults and children enjoyed the 2-hour musical starring Phil Splitter as Funkey Monkey and Co-starring Susie Davies-Splitter. Entertainment, interaction and songs filled the entire hall as the show had promised.
Drumming to the jungle beats and rhythm, James Pang assembled a percussion group, performing drum grooves & solos. The rhythmic beats, energy and enthusiasm of these young percussionists kept the crowd cheering.
We would like to thank Phil & Susie for inviting us to perform alongside in this musical! Have a great trip back to Australia.
"James has rhythm, beat and great musicianship! But more than that... what I love about him is his passion for music." |

Pat's Schoolhouse Family Day
27th October, 2007 @ Fort Canning
We were pleasantly surprised when our school was invited to Pat's Schoolhouse's Family Day to raise funds for charity. Alongside with about 20 other music teachers from the nationwide centres, our founder, James Pang, set up a booth teaching parents and children drumming.
Within each 20 minute segment, they performed a combined rhythm of drums, percussion instruments, djembes, bongo, chinese drums, and other sound boards. After 9 long hours of non-stop performances, they ended with a resounding 10-minute drum solo to close the event.
We would like to thank the music teachers of Pat's Schoolhouse and Mrs. Patricia Koh for putting together such a wonderful event for charity!
"James' enthusiasm and natural sense of rhythm certainly brings out the drummer in him. I am sure that many kids will aspire to be like James bringing music to the world through the rhythm of the drums." |
