Structured Syllabus
Interesting and challenging lesson plans are prepared for each drum educator. Each drumming exercise is carefully designed by our founder to meet learning needs.
Flexible Hours
With the high intake of students we receive monthly, it allows our educators to design their own schedules.

Job requirements
Drumming Background
Applicants should have at least a minimum of 1 year private lessons and 4 years of drumming exposure. Please provide a record of the past 2 years of gigs and events performed.
Music Theory
A basic knowledge of music theory is compulsory. All applicants also need to be proficient in the reading and writing of drum notations.
Full-time applicants need to have a basic working knowledge of Sibelius, Finale or other music notation programs.
Style of Drumming
Applicants should be proficient in pop, rock, blues, funk, R&B and hip-hop rhythms.
Full-time applicants need to have a basic knowledge in odd-time signatures, latin, jazz and drum solos. We welcome other music genres too.
Church Experience
At MDS, we are proactive in providing training and drumming courses for the Christian community. Experience in drumming for church worship is a pre-requisite for all applicants.
Great Personality
A good working relationship and warm personality is an added advantage.

ANZCA Examinations & Workshop 6th to 9th July, 2011 @ My Drum School Facility
The last examinations in Nov 2010, we had 42 First Class Honors, 15 Honors and 1 Pass.
This July 2011, we did extremingly well again.

Drumzout 2011 Finals 26th June, 2011 @ *Scape Park
Principal James Pang was invited to be on the judging panel along with renowned musicians like Vick Veera, Syed Ahmad and Serena Chen. These famous people have at least 20 years in the music industry and indeed it was an honor for our Principal to be alongside with the "giants".
Congrats to Salvo Drums for bagging the 1st prize.
Dane Tan has been active in the local music & drumming community for several years now, an avid attendee, contributor & committee member of Soft Drum Xchange Singapore programme. He juggles his time between different bands and teaching drums at Psalms Music School.
He was the winner of 2010 Lamb Of God drummer competition, and took home a personally autographed Mapex Chris Adler Signature snare drum, a free ticket to watch Lamb Of God in Singapore, together with the chance to meet his drum hero, Chris himself!
He is also an Intermediate Student at MDS.

Hian Ming has been studying with My Drum School for about 2 years now. He loves Akira Jimbo and travelled all the way to Japan to catch him in concert. After learning some Double Bass Drumming, he decided to do a video recording on the song "Praise You" by Planetshakers.

Hian Ming (in picture) is currently one of the youngest (under12yrs old) Intermediate Student at MDS.
James was recently invited to be on the judging panel of Drumzout 2011, a nation-wide percussion competition organised by Nanyang Technological University. Along with Damien Lim, a renowed percussionist and educator in Singapore, they graded the different catergories Tertiary, Open and Secondary.
The theme of DrumZout 2011 is “Freestyle”, where they encourage participants to use percussion instruments to express their music to the audience in never-tried-before ways to express a sense of freedom and vibrancy.
An extraordinary fight was put up by all the teams on 19 March. Understanding themselves and their opponents better after the clash, the teams will be meeting again on stage at the finals on 26th June 2011.
